National & International QiGong Associations
As a founding board member, past secretary, and past president of the National QiGong Association (NQA), USA, I would like to let you know about our association and other nationally and international organizations promoting the introduction and expansion of QiGong to the United States and the world wide community.
The NAQ was founded by James MacRitchie who on December 6, 1994 made his initial announcement sharing his vision of a national QiGong association. A national conference to establish and organize the QiGong Association of America, was held in Boulder, Colorado on November 15,16, and 17,1996.
In July of 1997 the first National Conference of the QiGong Association of America was held in Minneapolis, MN. It was attended by 200 people and 20 instructors.
In August of 1998 the second Annual conference was held in Cleveland, Ohio. In August of 1999, the third conference was held in Baltimore, MaryLand.
The purpose of the NQA is the promotion of QiGong for beginners, practitioners, teachers, and healers of all classical and contemporary schools and traditions.
